“A good deal.” There are new rules for EU agricultural trade with Ukraine
The new agreement adjusts the rules of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), in force since 2017, and cancels the temporary measures adopted in 2022, which eliminated duties and quotas on Ukrainian agricultural exports to the EU. This was a form of Community aid for the country attacked by Russia , which had been cut off by Russian aggression from traditional routes and markets for the sale of agricultural goods.
